• Die sozialen Medien werden in allen Bereichen des alltäglichen Lebens immer präsenter, auch Bibliotheken sind von diesem Wandel betroffen. Es entwickeln sich auf allen sozialen Plattformen Nischen, die verschiedene Aspekte widerspiegeln, so zum Beispiel auch die Instagram-Nische Bookstagram. In dieser haben sich verschiedene Trends zu Ästhetiken oder Aesthetics herauskristallisiert, die neben dem rein optischen Aspekt auch eine bestimmte Gattung Literatur, die besondere Motive wiedergibt umfasst. In dieser Bachelorarbeit werden die beliebtesten Aesthetics erklärt und eine Auswahl dazu passender Romane wird getroffen. Auf dieser Basis wird eine konzeptionelle Handlungsempfehlung entwickelt. Diese zeigt, wie öffentliche Bibliotheken diese Ästhetiken nutzen können, um ihr Image zu verbessern, Neukunden zu gewinnen und das Community Building zu fördern.
• Social media are becoming increasingly present in all areas of everyday life, and libraries are also affected by this change. Niches are developing on all social platforms that reflect different aspects, such as the Instagram niche Bookstagram. In Bookstagram, various trends have emerged on Aesthetics, which, in addition to the purely visual aspect, also includes a certain genre of literature that reflects particular motifs. In this bachelor thesis, the most popular Aesthetics are explained and a selection of matching novels is made. On this basis, a conceptual recommendation for action is developed. This shows how public libraries can use these Aesthetics to improve their image, attract new customers and promote community building.
