• Predatory Publishing ist eine aus dem Open Access entstandene Geschäftspraktik. Verlage machen sich die Unwissenheit von Forscher*innen zunutze, um sich selbst zu bereichern. In der folgenden Ausarbeitung wird untersucht, wie verbreitet Bibliotheken zu Predatory Publishing aufklären und welche Inhalte und Methoden sich als Best Practice für Informationsangebote anbieten. Inhaltlich überschneiden sich die Angebote in vielen Punkten und je nachdem wie umfangreich die Angebote geplant sind, werden Informationen mit Beispielen vertieft. Der gängige didaktische Aufbau für Workshops besteht aus einem theoretischen Teil und einer Übung, um das Gelernte anzuwenden.
• Predatory Publishing is a business practice that emerged from Open Access. Publishers take advantage of the ignorance of researchers to enrich themselves. The following elaboration examines how widely libraries educate about predatory publishing and what content and methods offer best practice for information offerings. In terms of content, the offers overlap in many points and depending on how extensive the offers are planned, information is deepened with examples. The usual didactic structure for workshops consists of a theoretical part and an exercise to apply what has been learned.
