  • The subject of this bachelor thesis is the scientific adaption of information overflow in enterprises - which is similar to that of email communication in relation to the KISS principle. This thesis proves that "knowledgeworkers" come across the problem of excess information more frequently than others, and that strategies for dealing with problems such as email communication, often cease to exist. Additionally, this work will show that the KISS principle can be used as a method to shape email communication more efficiently. The first topic presented in this bachelor thesis is the fundamental of information and communication in relation to basic informational and communicational structures. Thereafter, ways of dealing with information overload will be discussed, and their problems will be examined. Based on a self-conducted survey, problems exist with information overflow in enter-prises. Furthermore, the KISS principle is meant to encourage development of strategies for the reduction of informational excess. This indicates how enterprises should manage the increasing number of emails efficiently. Using the help of the KISS principle, the comparison of classical strategies with those developed in this thesis show that the problem has been present for some time, but enterprises fail to respond properly. Sensitization in the management of enterprises is essential to promote meaningful and efficient usage of this medium/mean of communication. Comparisons with other studies show that as the flow of emails increase, the need for regulations in companies become more important than ever.
