  • Digital change does not only transform the market sustainably, but also marketing itself. Today, a major part of purchasing processes is achieved in e-commerce. Prospects and customers are using search engines for product information or to buy the acquired products directly online. The big challenge for companies is not only to keep pace with but to anticipate and actively use digital change by launching successful online concepts and strategies. This does not only involve presentation of the company itself but also its brands and products. Neuromarketing is about interpreting the newest neurological research regarding consumer behaviour and translating it into effective marketing concepts. The merger of brain research and market research leads to innovative strategies, which are able to arouse the customers’ interest in the presented online products despite of the fact that e-commerce is a field marked by a flood of information and multiple purchasing stimuli. In this thesis the marketing-related findings of brain research will be introduced and the concepts derived therefrom will be investigated thoroughly regarding their successful application in the web. Through critical analysis the aim is to summarize Neuromarketing, followed by a perspective about future developments.
