• Die Musik und ihre Manifestationen in publizierten Bibliotheksressourcen stellt besondere Anforderungen an die Funktionsweisen und Gestaltung der Suchoberflächen von Katalogen in Bibliotheken mit Musikbeständen. Um einen Überblick darüber zu geben, wie aktuelle Bibliothekskataloge an Musikhochschulen mit der Suche nach Musikressourcen umgehen und was in aktuellen Katalogen möglich und nützlich ist, wurden im Rahmen der vorliegenden Arbeit die Suchoberflächen von Bibliothekskatalogen an Musikhochschulen in Deutschland mit Blick auf die Suche nach Musikressourcen hin untersucht. Dabei wird analysiert, in wieweit das Potential der bereits verfügbaren Daten, Informationen und Technologien in Musikhochschulbibliotheken ausgeschöpft wird. Die Arbeit soll so als Ausgangspunkt für die auf Musikressourcen ausgerichtete Weiterentwicklung von Bibliothekskatalogen dienen.
• Music and its manifestations in published library resources place special demands on the functionality and design of search interfaces in libraries with music collections. To provide an overview of how current library catalogs at music teaching institutions handle the search for music materials and what is possible and useful in modern catalogs, this study examines the search interfaces of library catalogs at music teaching institutions in Germany. By analysing how searches for scores and audio recordings can be conducted, this explores to what degree the already available data, information, and technologies are utilised. The study aims to serve as a starting point for further study and the development of library catalogs with a focus on music resources.
