N2 - Learning in higher education is changing! The digital transformation of learning is progressing at all levels, especially in the context of teaching. The Corona pandemic has shown this impressively and arguably accelerated this process. Many libraries are faced with the challenge of continuously adapting their training programmes to such changes. Under social distancing measures, many libraries had to develop new concepts in order to circumvent the classroom teaching. The libraries were, therefore, forced at short notice to convert the training programmes they had prepared to digital formats for the upcoming months. This Master thesis contributes to this discussion and aims to develop an action-taking model for the creation of online tutorials. Based on theoretical discussions, online tutorials are first explained and classified as an element of e-learning. The action-taking model for creating online tutorials is then described using the example of the reference management software Citavi. The so-called “ADDIE model”, in conjunction with other instruction design models, is used as a guideline for the development of the action-taking model. The research is then concluded with a summery discussion and practical recommendations, which again draws the link to the overall learning context.
