1959 und der Frage, inwiefern das US-amerikanische Embargo diese behindert
oder im Gegenteil befördert hat.
Anschließend wird der Einfluss der „Digitalen Revolution“ auf die kubanische
Nationalbibliothek Biblioteca Nacional de Cuba José Martí untersucht. Besondere
Aufmerksamkeit wird der Digitalisierung und der Nachnutzung der Digitalisate
in der Nationalen Digitalen Bibliothek, beziehungsweise in internationalen
Kooperationen virtueller Bibliotheken gewidmet.
N2  - The first part of this master thesis explores the Cuban „Digital Revolution“ since
1959 and the question of wether the US embargo impeded or inspired it.
This investigation then examines the impact the „Digital Revolution“ had on the
Cuban National Library Biblioteca Nacional de Cuba José Martí. Special attention
is payed to the digitization and the reuse of the data files either for the National
Digital Library or in the international collaboration of virtual libraries.
