The analysis took place in the context of the Fraunhofer-Gesellschaft. To determine the required information, expert interviews were conducted with researchers who have already participated in patenting processes and therefore have knowledge of how patent-relevant research data differs from regular research data in terms of its creation, processing and evaluation. The interviews revealed that patent-relevant research data do not differ from everyday generated research data in terms of generation, type and format as well as filing and storage. Consequently, no specific characteristics could be identified that would need to be mapped separately in an RDM process. Nevertheless, minor comments on the desired target process could be formulated. In addition, it became apparent that there is a need for "process-accompanying" measures. These include the Fraunhofer-wide introduction of an RDM policy document as well as the relevance of continuing to sensitise researchers to the topic of RDM and training already established processes, such as the use of the Fordatis research data repository.}, subject = {Patent}, language = {de} }
